What makes Momentum unique?

Momentum allows individuals to experience a comprehensive full body workout in a small studio setting. Momentum’s classes are built to complement each other including Spin®, TRX®, & H.I.I.T one-on-one and semi-private personal training. Our certified and experienced instructors are dedicated to training individuals of all fitness levels to help clients achieve their personal goals!

Should I bring my own water?

Feel free to bring your own water.  We have water as well as other beverages and light snacks for sale at the reception area.

Should I bring my own towel?

We provide towels, however you are more than welcome to bring your own.

Do you provide daycare?

We provide daycare during certain times. Please email us at summit@momentumnj.com to reserve your child's spot. Be sure to check our daycare policy tab as well.

Do you have showers?

We have separate men’s and women’s locker rooms with two showers in each and provide shower amenities.

Do I need bike shoes?

Our bikes can accommodate both cycling and athletic shoes. The pedals have SPD clips for cycling shoes on one side and a cage for athletic sneakers on the other side. However, we do recommend riding with cycling shoes as it provides a smoother and more efficient ride.
We do not supply bike shoes at the studio.

Do you have lockers?

Yes, we have 44 single lockers in the our studio with single use digilocks to be able to store shoes, purses, wallets, phones etc. In our men’s and women’s locker rooms we have double height lockers with single use digilocks to be able to store larger items.

Where should I park?

Metered street parking is available as well as several parking lots and garages. Please see our map on our Studio Info tab under Contact Us

What are the age, weight, and height requirements to ride at Momentum?

Riders must be at least 13 years of age or older and at least 4’10″. Riders under 18 years of age will need parental consent. Our bikes have a max user weight of 300 lbs.

Do you have a membership fee?

Unlike a typical gym we do not have a membership fee but we do offer a variety of pricing packages. You may purchase an individual class or packages of 5-, 10-, or 20- Classes or Monthly Unlimited Classes at discounted rates via our website.

How far in advance can I schedule classes online?

You may schedule a class up to 30 days in advance.
Please note purchases of individual classes or class packages are non-refundable.

How do I make a reservation?

1. Click on SCHEDULE tab to go to our scheduling website.
2. Look for classes and select the desired date and time you wish to attend.
3. Click “sign up “proceed with the sign in process.

Do I need to make a reservation for the class or is it okay to drop in?

If you are in the area and want to drop by Momentum, please feel free, but space may be limited. You may check class space availability online. However, we have 35 bikes in the Spin® studio & limited space in our HIIT/TRX®/CORE Group Fitness studio, so the best way to secure your spot is to call us or sign up online via our website ahead of time. Specific bikes may be reserved online.

What happens if I reserved a spot and I cannot make it to class?

Classes must be cancelled at least 6 hours in advance of the class for a full class credit back to your account. Failure to cancel at least 6 hours prior will be considered a no-show and your account will be charged for the class as if you were in attendance. If you have a monthly unlimited package (30 days), one day will be deducted from your account.

 

For Spin, we do ask that you please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of class to get your bike properly set up. If you are new to Spin please allow yourself more time to have someone help you with your proper bike set up. First time Spinners® will not be allowed to enter a class late. Out of respect for all our clients and instructors, no one will be allowed to walk in more than 5 minutes after class has begun.

What is your waitlist policy?

We have a maximum waiting list of up to 10 people, accessed on a first come-first serve basis. Our automated reservation system will automatically notify you via email if you have a spot off the waiting list. You may call or reply back to the email confirming that you accept or decline the spot. If you decline, we go to the next person on the waitlist.

 

Reservations / Walk-ins/ Release Policy

You're always welcome to walk in without a reservation, provided there are available spots. If you have reserved your spot in advance, please be on time as empty spots will be released to walk-ins at the start of each class.

What is your cell phone policy?

No cell phones are allowed in group fitness studios. Out of courtesy to others we ask that you keep phone conversations to a minimum when in other parts of the studio. If you are expecting an urgent phone call, our desk staff is happy to keep the phone at the front desk and alert you as necessary

What is Momentum's policy on inclement weather and snow days/delayed openings?

We reserve the right to cancel classes due to inclement weather. We wouldn't want any of our staff nor our clients in harms way. We will try and give you as much notice as possible that your registered class has been cancelled! Please check the web site schedule, as well as Facebook and Twitter, for studio closing and class cancellation updates during inclement weather.
